Installation

Every project is unique in its own way and we make use of our expertise to find the right approach for the varying processes. Still, there are certain steps that can often be recognized in our work procedure.

1

Primary Structure

The primary structure often times consists of steel bars that serve as a base for the final shape of the rock. Scaffolding will be set up customized to the construction site.

2

Shaping the rebar

After the primary structure is in place, the rebars will be shaped as the foundation for the final product, according to the design. It is a vital step of the process, as it indicates what the finished product will look like.

3

Placing mesh

On top of the shaped rebars, a layer of polyester mesh will be placed. The netting serves as an underlay for the shotcrete, as that will be sprayed on the mesh directly.

4

Scratch layer

After spraying on the shotcrete, it will be smoothened to result in an even layer. This layer serves as the basis for the carving layer.

5

Carving

The rockwork takes its distinctive shape in the carving layer. While that layer is still wet, our artists carve the cement to become beautiful rocks and façades. After hardening the details will be added and the rockwork will be given its final touch.

Painting

As a final step, the finished and dried cement will get a topcoat of paint and sealing. The painting will complete the aesthetic aspect of the product, while the sealing serves as a protecting coat to the cement. Once finished, the rockwork will endure in its state to elevate your establishment’s theming for many years.
